Outer Space is exploring the possibility of an artist studio space initiative and is inviting its creative community to express interest in this opportunity. Here’s a taster of what’s on offer.
Each 16m² studio is a blank canvas for your imagination—with 24-hour access, an expansive space where light pours in, ideas stretch out, and your creative energy can flow freely. It’s your own sanctuary, a place to shape, reflect, and transform, with room to breathe and create at your own pace. Step outside your studio and into a communal kitchen and lounge, where you can relax, share ideas, and swap the latest creative sparks with fellow makers. With running water, electricity, and a prime location just a short walk from Outer Space and Fortitude Valley’s main train station, you’ll find yourself at the centre of a creative hub.

If you (or someone you know) have been dreaming of a dedicated studio space, then you have come to the right place!
Outer Space have been working on an artist studio space initiative and is calling on its creative community to express interest in this offering. Here's the scoop:
STUDIO SIZE:
Each studio space will be an approximate expansive 16m², all designed to give you room to breath, ideate, create, and connect. A studio entirely dedicated to you that feels like an extension of your mind, with light pouring through the windows and room to stretch, reflect, shift, shape, explore and expand your creative practice. With 24-hour accessibility so you are not constraint by any clock.
ADDITIONAL FACILITIES:
Outside your studio, you’ll find a communal kitchen and lounge designed to help you relax and share the latest creative tea with your fellow creative studio spacers! Running water and electricity included!
ADDED BONUS:
Whispers around Outer Space suggest there might even be a dedicated space waiting for you to document the heart of your creative practice…an installation room shared only amongst your 4 other artistic residents.
LOCATION:
Nestled in the heart of it all, just a short walk from Outer Space and Fortitude Valley’s main train station, you’ll find yourself at the centre of a creative hub—where ideas collide, and new expressions are born.
COST:
At most, each space will be approximately $155 per week. OR—split the studio with your dynamic other half, friend, or another artist for just $77.50 each. Plus loading zone & parking spaces available at an additional cost.
A place to lose yourself and find yourself, all at once.
P.S If you’re not from Meanjin (Brisbane) this is a perfect opportunity to relocate and bring your artistic practice to new heights in the centre of town in conjunction with another 4 creative beings.
